Here we are with another weekly Sunday Supper. This week we will make sausage casserole. Something I’ve yet to find anything similar like in America so far.
Stop in to Taylor’s Croft and grab your seasoning packet, and here’s all you’ll need;
Let’s get started! Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the sausages until brown, add the onions and cook for 3-4 minutes until their softened. Place in an ovenproof casserole dish with the mushrooms and pepper.
Blend the contents of the packet with the water and add to the dish. Cover and cook for 1 hour.
Enjoy with creamy mashed potatoes and some vegetables of your choice!
Let us know if you’ve had this or if you’ll be making it, and how did you like it. It’s a great comfort food and something you could easily pop in the crockpot to stay warm and have ready after a long day.

It’s Sunday and we’re going to start bringing you a wee recipe from Scotland each week. The best part (or worst, you decide)- you don’t need to travel to Scotland to have it. This weeks featured recipe is Shepherds Pie!
This is a delicious staple in any Scottish household. We’ve all grown up on it. So often we have mince n tatties, and it’s a nice wee change to have it as a shepherds pie. You could even use leftovers from your mince and tatties the night before. We scots canny get enough!!
Just pop on over to Taylor’s Croft and grab yourself a packet of shepherds Pie Mix and you’re ready to get cooking!
What you’ll need is:
(Converted from Scottish recipe)
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
Brown your mince (ground beef) and onions in a large pan. Drain the fat.
Blend the contents of your shepherds pie mix with the cold water and stir it into the mince, then add the carrots and peas. Bring to a boil, stirring continuously, then transfer to an oven safe dish.
Then you’ll spoon the mashed potatoes over the mince, and bake for 30 minutes.
& Enjoy!
Let us know if you’ve had this before or if you make it - let us know how much you love it, cause we know you will!
Til next week -
